(PLC 90) Board Game Club
***For Esperanza Students Only*** This club will challenge students on the PLC 90 minute early release days (scheduled on select Fridays) during the school year. Students will use teamwork to develop strategy and skill as they compete against other students while playing various games until the normal dismissal time. Subject to minimum enrollment. NOTE: Students may be subject to withdrawal from Board Game Club due to: poor behavior, late arrival to the club, and late pickup by parent/guardian. -
Bonanza Educational - Marvelous Moving Machines
In this fun and engaging STEM and Creativity class we will use our favorite LEGO® bricks along with some extra supplies like rubber bands, balloons, and marbles to build a variety of marvelous moving machines. We will explore kinetic and potential energy, friction, force, and mass. We will also learn about Isaac Newton and his important laws of physics. In every class we will build a functioning model that can drop, stop, spin, roll, take off, or even clickety-clack. Along the way, we will develop creative problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills. Leave your LEGO at home, we’ll supply everything you need. There are no take-home projects. -
Chess Emporium Chess Club
