Our school-based Before & After School Care programs offer school aged children the opportunity to extend their children's learning and development beyond the school day in a safe and supervised environment. Our diverse set of enrichment activities such as homework assistance, a literacy program, organized play indoors and out, and access to optional after school enrichment classes ensures there is something for everyone to enjoy. A variety of schedule options are available to meet most needs. Kindergarten students, including early entry, may attend upon reaching their 5th birthday.

Temporary child care for a specified period of time to coincide with students attending Free Safe Learning Space at their home school, as determined by the DVUSD Governing Board and Administration. This is a fee-based program and does not include your registration into FSLS or our school-based Before & After School Care programs. Child care is provided within our Before & After Care program from 6:30 AM until the start of school, and from school dismissal until 6:00 PM. All rules, regulations, policies, and procedures of the B&A program and DVUSD apply. This is for students in grades K-8, age 5-14. Kindergarten students, including early entry, may attend upon reaching their 5th birthday.

Developmental Preschool provides services for 3-5 year old children who may be experiencing difficulties in the area of language, social/emotional, motor/perceptual, and cognitive development. This program is administered through the Student Support Services Department.
