    This summer camp introduces students to the principles and techniques of crime scene investigation (CSI). CSI is a multidisciplinary field that combines science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) with critical thinking and problem-solving skills. Students will learn the fundamentals of collecting, analyzing, and interpreting evidence from crime scenes, while gaining practical knowledge in forensic science, evidence collection, and crime scene reconstruction. This course will include both theoretical knowledge and hands-on exercises. Students will gather in groups, learning together as they “work” assigned mock crime scenes. Topics include: Forensic Science Crime Scene Processing Fingerprinting Bloodstain Pattern Analysis DNA Basics Digital Forensics Mock Crime Scene Investigation Forensic Entomolgy Courtroom Simulation
  • CSI Rocks! (for Grades 6-9)

    Step into the role of a real-life investigator in this hands-on summer Crime Scene Investigation camp! Designed for students in grades 6–9, this engaging program introduces the science, critical thinking, and teamwork skills used to work investigations. Campers will learn the fundamentals of forensic science, including how to observe a scene carefully, collect and document evidence, and analyze clues such as fingerprints, shoe prints, handwriting, and basic blood pattern concepts (age-appropriate). Through interactive activities and simulated crime scenes, students will practice problem-solving, attention to detail, and logical reasoning while working in investigative teams. This is perfect for mature students with curious minds who enjoy science, puzzles, and teamwork. This camp builds confidence, promotes responsible decision-making, and inspires interest in STEM and public safety careers—all in a fun, safe, and age-appropriate environment. Topics include: Crime scene safety and evidence handling Photography and sketching a scene Fingerprint development and comparison Trace evidence (hair, fibers, and impressions) Interviewing and teamwork skills The role of forensic science in the justice system
